BeeBryte’s Data-Driven HVAC Control & Optimization Software

BeeBryte developed a data-driven HVAC control & optimization software for increased energy efficiency, reduced utility bill and maximized comfort at no cost thanks to AI prediction and patented technology.

BeeBryte is using Artificial Intelligence & IoT to get commercial and industrial buildings to consume electricity in a smarter, more efficient and cheaper way while reducing carbon footprint. They  have major customers in Singapore and in Europe like DHL, Ngee Ann Poly, Solvay, Bouygues, OL stadium, etc. that have shown that, with minimal capital expenditure, the facilities have managed to not only reduce their carbon footprint, but also reap energy cost savings of up to 40%.

The software is generating 15 to 40% savings on utility bills with automated control of cooling equipment (e.g. HVAC, Chillers, VRVs, Refrigeration Systems).

Beebryte’s Box connects to existing BMS or HVAC automation systems (using standard communication protocols like Modbus and BACnet). In real-time, their solution dynamically finds unprecedented setpoints to optimize the HVAC systems. For instance, it will automatically change the supply air temperature (within the manufacturer constraints) AND/OR adjust the fresh air renewal and fan speed to improve comfort and minimize cost.

A typical BMS has a programmed logic and is a reactive system. In other words, it will react and correct the HVAC regulation based on the observed new conditions affecting the thermal energy requirement. This is not an optimal control!

What’s innovative about BeeBryte’s solution is the capacity to predict and anticipate (thanks to AI and patented real-time optimization algorithms). By anticipating changes in weather conditions, building occupancy and business activity, the solution continually adjusts the set points not only to run the process in a more efficient way (energy efficiency gains) but also to extract additional value like power peak shaving (reducing penalties due to uncontracted capacity) and price arbitrage if you are exposed to variable electricity rates.

BeeBryte is not replacing the BMS or any HVAC systems. We provide an additional layer of energy intelligence to better control existing equipment and all of this with no capex. The price of the required hardware and IoT Gateway is quite marginal (a few thousand dollars) and we can finance it ourselves.
