PACIFICLIGHT RETURNS WITH ITS EIGHTH ANNUAL CREA8 SUSTAINABILITY COMPETITION TO LEAD AND NURTURE YOUTH IN THEIR SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY

3 March 2023, Singapore – Singapore-based power generation and electricity retailer, PacificLight, is inviting primary, secondary and tertiary students to submit innovative ideas under its annual Crea8 Sustainability Competition.

As part of PacificLight’s community collaboration program, the Crea8 Sustainability competition was created to inspire youths to be drivers for sustainability. The competition aims to, through practical activities, focus on the importance of building a circular economy surrounding upcycling and recycling, in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 – Sustainable Living, Green Citizenry.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Good afternoon, everyone. It is my pleasure to witness the inauguration of Abraclean’s glass recycling facility.

I learnt that the facility can process 80 per cent of glass waste into “Abrablast”, a recycled glass abrasive which can be used for blasting and coating. The remaining 20 per cent of glass dust is not wasted either. It can be used in the production of light-weight bricks and construction materials.
