From Climate Reality to Climate Action | Singapore, 8–9 September 2026

Last week, hundreds of climate advocates gathered in Singapore for the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training. Two days of talks, workshops, and honestly, a lot of hallway conversations between people who care about the same problem.

Al Gore’s message was blunt: the warnings scientists have been giving for decades aren’t warnings anymore — they’re just the weather now. Worse droughts, heavier rainfall, ice sheets disappearing faster than expected, food systems under strain. None of this is abstract anymore.

What stuck with me more than the data, though, was watching a room full of strangers start figuring out how to actually work together — what Singapore’s specific climate challenges look like, where the gaps are, who’s already doing something about it, and how to keep that momentum going once everyone goes back to their day jobs.

A word on young people, because they came up a lot: they’re not just going to inherit this mess — a lot of them are already building the fixes. If you’re young and reading this, a few honest suggestions:

  • Actually learn what’s happening in your own backyard, not just the headlines
  • Push your school or neighborhood to become a testing ground, not a bystander
  • Get hands-on with waste, food, and energy — try things, break things, learn
  • Protect whatever green space you’ve still got
  • Team up across generations — this isn’t a youth-only problem
  • Say something. Loudly, if needed

At Green In Future, we believe that awareness must lead to attitude change—and ultimately adoption of solutions.

The climate challenge is immense, but so is the opportunity to act.

Let’s move from knowing → caring → doing.

Because every meaningful action, when connected with others, can become something much bigger.
